What this policy covers
This policy covers the yukoe Windows desktop app and the yukoe.app website. Third-party services have their own policies and terms.
Information the app may process
- Twitch dataChannel and account identifiers, display names, user IDs, name colors, chat messages, OAuth tokens, and optional nickname or pronunciation mappings needed for the features you enable.
- Content you choose to processText entered locally, cleaned chat text, translation or AI prompts and results, dictionary lookups, and text selected for speech.
- Optional microphone inputPush-to-talk audio is held temporarily in memory, transcribed locally, and not saved. The transcript stays in the composer until you review it and press Send.
- Local app dataLanguage settings, provider choices, profiles, translation cache, speech configuration, local models, and limited runtime status or error information.
- CredentialsTwitch OAuth tokens and provider API keys that you enter. Exported profiles do not contain these secrets.
When information leaves your computer
- TwitchThe app connects to Twitch to authorize your account, read the channel you configure, and post messages only when Twitch delivery is enabled.
- Providers you selectA selected translation, generative AI, or cloud speech provider receives the text and minimum settings required to return the requested result. If name reading is enabled, the spoken name may also be included in speech text.
- Local providersVOICEVOX, AivisSpeech, local language detection, local dictionaries, and local transcription can run on your PC without sending message or audio content to snowyukitty.
yukoe connects directly from your device to the services you configure. snowyukitty does not receive a copy of your chat, prompts, audio, translations, tokens, or API keys.
Local by design
- Current-user storageMutable app data is stored in the current Windows user’s local app-data area, not beside the installed Store package.
- Protected secretsOn Windows, saved secrets are protected with Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI) for the current user instead of being written to plain configuration files.
- RetentionLocal settings and cache remain until you clear them or remove the app’s local data. Third-party providers retain data according to their own policies and your account configuration.
You decide what is connected and shared
- Use the Local workspaceLocal workspace content is not posted to Twitch. You can also keep translations visible only inside yukoe.
- Turn features offYou can disable Twitch delivery, translation, AI, speech, microphone input, and reading usernames, or choose local providers where available.
- Remove accessYou can clear saved credentials and profiles, revoke yukoe in Twitch connections, remove local data, and uninstall the app.
- Manage provider dataRequests involving data held by Twitch or another provider must be made through that provider’s privacy controls because snowyukitty does not hold those copies.
No sale, ads, or hidden telemetry
snowyukitty does not sell personal information, use yukoe data for targeted advertising, or collect product analytics or crash telemetry through a snowyukitty service. The app is not directed to children; Twitch and configured providers may impose their own age requirements.
Keeping this policy current
This page will be updated when yukoe adds a data-handling feature or materially changes a provider boundary. The effective date above identifies the current version.
